Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto Denies Having Created Bitcoin, Says He’s Not Been Coding For Over A Decade

The drama around Bitcoin and its alleged creator fails to die, very much in line with the roller coaster ride the crypto-currency has been going through over past year.

Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto who was called the creator of Bitcoin by Newsweek earlier this month, has now issued a statement through his lawyer that denies his involvement in creating the digital currency.

Reuters Blogger Felix Salmon quoted a statement provided by Satoshi’s lawyer earlier today.

“I did not create, invent, or otherwise work on Bitcoin. I unconditionally deny the Newsweek report,” Nakamoto said in a statement through his lawyer.

The alleged Bitcoin creator also said despite having a background in engineering, he couldn’t find a programmer’s job for over a decade.

“I’ve worked as a laborer, polltaker and a substitute teacher,” he added in the statement.

Despite Newsweek’s claims, the geek world has been skeptical, as Salmon wrote in this blog earlier this month.

Now, it’s over to Newsweek again.
