Apple announced at its event in San Francisco today that it had sold over 170M iPads in total. It also once again touted that the iPad had some 81% share of tablet usage. CEO Tim Cook said that this was evidence that people were using iPads more than other tablets.
In what was likely offered as a sharp contrast to other tablet makers like Google, Cook also announced that there were some 475,000 apps designed for iPad.
